When challenged to provide documentation as to his allegations, all Dan can come up with is a link to the Deep Creek Hotsprings Forum and a post from Arizona Mike alleging gunfire directed at OHV users. I will excuse your arrogance as you did not know he has been banned from this site more than twice for abusive behavior.
One more time Dan, care to provide a link and some documentation to back up all of thoes alleged "accusations" from the DesertUSA site? A few quotes along with a link to back up your claims shouldn't be too difficult.
The invitation still stands Dan. Next time you are driving out to Johnson Valley OHV area, take a side trip up Bowen Ranch road. Once you leave the pavement and hit the curves, you will see for yourself the extensive damage to private property from illegal OHV abuse in lower Arrastra canyon. Believe me, it gets worse once you are over the hill and out of view.
Come on out and see the physical evidence that public land managers, law enforcement and elected officials have viewed. They all aggree there is a BIG problem with illegal OHV abuse in this area. By the looks of the machines and gear the riders wear, many of the perpetrators are not "meth heads". These guys are competition riders. By observing riding styles, it's real easy to tell the joy riders from the racers.
We say, ride responsibly and observe route designations. We welcome those who ride in a respectful way.
