Wizard,

So, why is it that you DO have such a problem with Mike? You seem like a reasonable and likeable guy. Mike is also a reasonable and likeable guy. What exactly is it? Why do you side with the DCHS, Inc people?

Many people, as noted in their posts here, see the 'feud' between DCHS, Inc and Mike as pretty much ridiculous -- that is, the advancing of the idea that Gail Fry has any claim whatsoever to Mike's property, and all the attending details revolving around access to the Springs thru Mike's land is ridiculous too.

Incidently, it seems significant to me that the Bowen Ranch is almost always referred to as "Mike's land" or "Mike's property", where an owner's name is mentioned. Is there any question in your mind, Wizard, who's land it is? Is the answer to this question the source of contention for you? Let's hear it.

BTW, I heard that maybe you 'invested' in the infamous Quit Claim deed that Gail refers to so much. Any truth to that story? Is this why you're upset with Mike? Let's hear about it.

Let's hear about motives. Let's hear what your (everyone's) agenda really is. Play your cards and let's see what you've got.

Wizard, no personal offense intended, but in light of what I've heard and read here, it seems an explanation is in order. Anything less than that, and your arguments are going to look rather specious.

Wizard, regarding AZ's trail, where is it and how come I never hear of people using anything but "YOUR" trail? The entire point of the trail issue is about whether it's in the best interest of the Springs to open more and more access points.

It's become readily apparent that the continued use of JF3, making it a more and more visible access to the Springs, has already resulted in at least 3 recent vandalisms. And BTW, any assertion that Mike has anything whatsoever to do with it is not using good sense.

The reality is that the more you open uncontrolled entries, the more and more people will find and use them, resulting in more and more cars that will be vandalized. And any expectation that the FS or BLM or Sheriff's department will increase patrols in that area may or may not be realistic. We'll see. My concern, as is with others, is that an increased 'government' presence to prevent crime will result in less freedom to enjoy the Springs as we do now.

Vandalim will occur, because we live so close to a large metropolitan area -- LA. I just dont' think that fact is going away soon. It boils down to a "park at your own risk" kinda situation. It happens everywhere near big cities. There's no good reason for it, but it's true, just the same. I don't fight with reality -- I work with it. I pay the $4 so I don't have to worry about some knucklehead from Apple Valley breaking my windows.

This is enuf for now... to be continued...
