How is it that Mike C. 'screens" people going to the springs and what is his reasoning in doing so? The springs are on public land and everyone has the right to access them. For the hundreth time I will state, Mike C. can think whatever he wishes but to charge people $4 per person to park, and walk through his land is not a screening process. His fees have no berring on the access of the springs and who goes to them. His fees do not create a system to judge who is good and who is bad.
His fees are self serving and his right as a private land owner, but that is as far as it goes. If he chooses to 'help' stranded, lost or injuried people then good for him but we do not have to thank him, nor should he ask for our thanks for he does it from his own sense of goodwill and it is his choice to do so.
