For the record, William never wanted the Bowen Ranch. In 1992 when William encouraged Mike Castro and the Friends of Deep Creek to take over the Bowen Ranch, William stayed at Moss Mill. William always wanted a good neighbor for Moss Mill and encouraged many people to contact Fred Moss and rent the Bowen Ranch. If William truly wanted the Bowen Ranch, he would have been over there in 1992.
It was not long after Mike Castro and the Friends of Deep Creek gained possession of the Bowen Ranch that Mike Castro showed his true colors. Mike Castro destroyed the Friends of Deep Creek and took control of the Bowen Ranch for himself and his own personal profit. That was not the plan. The plan was for the Friends of Deep Creek to run the Bowen Ranch and not require tolls.
The entire time that William was at Moss Mill, the residents at the Bowen Ranch were violent and aggressive in nature and demanded tolls from the hotspringing public. William thought that if he had a good neighbor at the Bowen Ranch that they could work together to bring peace to the area and develop a better relationship with the government agencies.
I am confident that the truth about the situation will be clear to everyone in the near future. I am willing to wait and conduct myself in a peaceful and legal manner toward our goal of making Bowen Ranch the peaceful and beneficial place that it should be. I am not threatened at all by any of these false statements being made to confuse people. In fact, its kind of fun to look back at the past events up on the Mountain. These events are certainly colorful.
