Cook Mark warns off the Gramlins

Then you keep bringing up Moss Mill. What is the deal, do you want to talk about it or not?

You know that incident that you keep bringing up about the kids I heard about myself from one of the kids that wasn't a "Gramlin" who was by then grown up. He told me that the person (not William) had fired a warning shot in the air when they got too close to Cote's trailer. These kids then ran over to the Bowen Ranch wherein Gary Krower (the growler) took them down to June's Market to call the cops on her phone. William told me that June told him that Gary Krower made wild statements about machine gun fire over their heads and shot off branches falling on them. I heard about the wild statements from the young man who wasn't a "Gramlin". The cops did come and did arrest "Cook" Mark, the Mill watchman. However, "Cook" Mark was never charged with any crime because in reality no crime had occurred.

The "Gramlins" were well-known in those days as a teenage burglary gang plaguing the area, breaking into homes and stealing money, guns and marijuana. I heard they even broke into your home several times. Funny you are all worried about their safety now.

If there were all these alleged crimes, where are all your documents and evidence to substantiate your allegations? Where are the witnesses? Instead there are many witnesses to William's peaceful and nonviolent ways. He did feel that he needed to be armed as a message to the violent drug addicted Gary Krower, friend of Laughingbear. William explained to me that this was for the purpose of communicating to Gary Krower that he would not be a victim to his violence.
