Sycamore, you state " some people have for some reason donated money to the DCHS, takeover attempt ". If your referring to me, I explained a few times already why I donated money to Gail for that quick claim deed. Perhaps you missed my explanation. Gail told me that Mike Castro did not actually own the Bowen Ranch building. The Bowen Ranch building was a seperate entity from the surronding land and this building and a 40 acre easement around it were actually owned by other folks. She said she intended on legally purchasing the Bowen Ranch building, and this easement, from the TRUE owners. Gail also expressed her intention of making this historic building a meeting point for " all " hotsprings visitors, a non profit, donations only, place where visitors could meet and get information about DCHS and the local area. Now I'm not a legal beagal, lawyer or someone versed in land ownership laws, but I liked Gails idea's about what she intended on doing, so I figured what the heck, if 150 dollars could help make that dream a reality it was worth a try. So Gail purchased the quick deed and DCHS INC now shows as the owners of that building and easement in the County Records. Now what would you do Sycamore if you, by the county records were shown to own a house, but someone else kept living in your house, saying that the county records were wrong and didn't mean anything? The county records show my wife and I as owners of our house. Its a record of who owns things to my understanding. I believe Gail will at some point excersise her rights on the Bowen building. She has expressed that she needs to be properly prepared for Mike Castro, s legal attack against her when she seeks to gain control of what is shown in the County Records as being owned by her entity, DCHS INC. Now on another subject, its clear that you do not accept that Mike Castro has done aggressive and illegal things in the area around the Bowen Ranch over the last 10 years. If your so sure of yourself, why don't you meet with Gail and look over all her information, statements from those affected, talk to the victims themselves etc ? Its easy for you to just disregard all of this here at the DCHS Forum and in essence, call it all a fantasy, or nonsense. Why don't you truly, in depth, check out all the information that Gail has compiled on this subject of Mike Castro's aggressive and illegal activities. I can certainly say for myself that I have no interest in taking any rights away from Mike Castro. I have spoken out here because, based on the information I have seen, Mike Castro has on numerous occasions trampled on the rights of others accessing around the Bowen ranch area. I just want people to be aware and watchful, I am not seeking that people unjustly go after Mike Castro to harm him, or disregard his rights as a public citizen or a landowner in the area. So what we have here is differances of opinion, differant views of the information available on the subject of Mike Castro and his conduct. If Gail does, as she indicates, seek to take legal possesion of the Bowen Ranch Building, and, if the court process decides in her favor, will Mike Castro respect her rights of ownership and behave in a legal manner towards her, or others that may at that time be occupying the building. If he loses in court on this, will he respond by somehow trying to damage the Bowen Building before he goes. We shall see what happens. Sycamore, even though I think you are inaccurate in your perceptions that Mike Castro has never done any of the things attributed to him by many other folks, I would always support your right to come here to the DCHS forum, and express your point of view. I see you to be one who truly cares about the natural world, one who is non-aggressive in thier manner, and I appreciate your efforts in helping to make the DCV effort a reality. Hopefully people's rights, on all fronts will be respected, in regards to these contentious issues regarding the Bowen Ranch, access concerns, etc.
