Wizard:
I think the meeting is a good idea, but the implemtation must be of good intent and tactful. If I may make a sugestion. Castro should not be the focus of the meeting. First of all because if it was the focus I have no doubt he would show up anyway. But the second reason is because Castro is the the real issue here. He is just a player in the game. These conflicts are not because of Castro. Do you know what I mean. Castro is not in the way of a peaceful environment around DCHS.
Lets sayCastro is removed. Then in his place another conflict will rage. Its just seems to be part of the whole drama of a member of society. Its seems particularly bad in the high desert regions. The conflict is just a microcosm of what is going on in the larger society. There will allways be conflict.
I would suggest that a moderator be brought into the meeting. Someone from the forest service perhaps, or a moderating servicee, I dont know who, but someone who is impartial to situation. The first item on the agenda should be what we all have in common. What goals we all share. The second should be how to reach those goals. The third what prevents us from reaching those goals. The meeting should not be 'lets vent at Castro and place blame.' This would lead to nowhere. Well, nowhere productive for the health of the DCHS area.
