This desctruction of our lands must stop. So what can we do? Perhaps we should be getting together and writing our congressperson to get funding for full time ATV patrols. I have no doubt that there are few patrol resources available to the BLM and FS in comparison to the vast land they have to protect.
This must stop! God damnit! I too have seen first hand the destruction of this area by ATV use. The problems is the tracks last for many, many years. They chew up the land and cause new erosion channels. And they encourage others to ride on those paths. What can we do?
For too long I have walked around this area and just accepted all the tracks around me as something out of my control: something evevitable that cant be stopped. I am realising that this a terrible way to approach this problem. God damn, our public lands are being destroyed while we sit around watching TV.
Lets put our heads together on this one. What can we do?
