so you guys are on your cyber witch hunt again . where is the report from the supposed victim or the guy on the bike ? It didnt happen to you . If it happened they should post it here or go to the sheriff . This is what i have heard about this woman , i was told she arrived after 4.45 pm was rude didn't not want to sign her vehicle in , thrust her money at Mike and when told she would have to pay $10 got angry and told Mike he didnt own the Springs ,he told her to get off his property then she did and went around . His Motorcycle was not running that day so he did not at any point follow her .
The Sheriffs were hanging at the ranch until 4.30 and the woman arrived after that . Mike and the Sheriffs had been looking at and talking about his non running bike earlier so i think you should check with the woman and cyclist again [ what kind of bike or License number ?] . Mike said he saw and spoke to a village resident at that time who had just dropped off the cyclist . So please ask again and check your times and facts and have the people concerned post their version of the story
IF I A TREE FALLS IN THE FOREST THEN IT MUST BE MIKE CASTRO,S FAULT most of these posts are from people who have a vendetta against Mike and will use any opportunity they can to slander him . I have known him for 18 years and while he is not always a people person he has made it a lot safer at the springs .a large number of people are turned away from the springs , some are not equipped to go down in the weather , others are not physically prepared . And many are dangerous or Drunken or known to leave trash or be sexual predators inaproppriate . Be glad there is some kind of a people filter as without it there would be constant search and rescues ,violence and theft there . Be glad that you don,t have to meet those people . I have personally helped many a lost person and given gas or towed others . And i know he has done hundreds more . You are right they dont post here because the website is just for a dozen or so people who want to talk about themselves or the things or people they hate . You need to take responsibility for your own actions .IF YOU BUILD IT THEY WILL COME While you promote what you call the freedom trail you do nothing to monitor or educate who comes through there and who you tell about it . The springs can only survive a certain amount of human visitation previously it was only accessible through the Bowen Ranch or with a four wheel drive or a long hike , this prevented a lot of unmonitored access and allowed the place to self police itself . with improvements to the trail and the increased use of the road this summer will see a large number of visitors who before would not have been able or allowed down there . There are many different people who go and coexist at the springs Nudists , Hikers , spiritual searchers , single women ,Families, gays, Homophobes,pedophiles , Christians ,satanists hillbillies ,yuppies, gang bangers ,perverts ,stoners ,tweekers and many other groups of interesting and disgusting people which is what makes the place amazing or soul destroying depending on which day you go there
So what kind of person do you think should run that Toll road ? none of you could or would want to . I would not get up at three in the morning to rescue a hiker and then at 6am have a car load of victor valley kids try and haggle over money and why they cant take glass and spray cans down and then japanese elderly tourists at 9pm that ranch would make Ghandi slap someone .So rather than bitch about Mike all the time ,think if you would rather a full time ranger presence as that or closure is the only other option . I believe the springs are a special place and those of us who are adult and responsible have to educate and clean up after the ignorant and the less people you tell about it the less you have to share it with . I believe there should be free access to the springs but a lot of problems are coming down that Freedom trail , a lot of the night time access and the Motorcycles are using it as it is not monitored please educate everyone you can and maybe put some signs at your trailhead .and for every bad person you meet there be happy that many others are turned away by a man you constantly villify on this site . yet he is the person the sheriff calls when they need help . So he may be in a bad mood some days but as i said i dont think a normal man would or could run that ranch
