So Ryan, is your real name Kevin by chance? Mike is just a person who own 80 acres of private land in the area, thats it. Tell me Ryan, is the money Mike takes in for his toll legal. Does he pay taxes on it. Its a business, right? I'd love to see his toll income records. Does he give out a receipt for the money taken? Why not? Does Mike have some kind of legal authority outside of his private property? You let me know if he does because I have never heard anything more than he is just a private citizen, just like the rest of us. Kevin used to talk just like you do about the idea that everything bad that happens at DCHS is all about whats called the Freedom trail. The fact is the vast majority of the people that cause any sorts of problems at DCHS come through the Bowen Ranch, and thats because most of the visitors to DCHS come through there. Tell me Ryan, how many times has Mike carried big trash bags out of the canyon from DCHS? I frankly over the 26 years of visiting these springs have never seen Mike pick up any trash there, or do any other projects down there for that matter. I've done plenty of all of that, for many years! And also I've never met anyone who has ever said they have seen Mike doing that kind of thing. As long as visitors using the Bowen Ranch pay him for parking, after that, the people just go on down to DCHS and do as they wish, and Mike has no control over any of it. You can go on and on all you want about what a great guy you think Mike is, but I know plenty of people who have had to deal with Mikes aggressive and menacing behavior. How about this for just one example, I was talking with a USFS ranger just last year who was at the fire checkpoint set up at 3N14 and the Bowen Ranch Rd back at the time of the 1999, 64,000 acre Willow Fire. He said one day Mike was there with the other Sherrifs and USFS personel, then some dude comes down the rd and stops there and Mikes goes over and gets in an argument with him then Mike starts beating the crap out of this dude right there. Barry Nelson who was the scumbag BLM enforcment ranger for the area at the time stopped this USFS Ranger from intervening in the fight and told the ranger something like, " the locals have their own way of making justice " or some stupid ass thing like that. This USFS ranger said he couldn't believe that the other sherrifs and rangers didn't do anything about it. Thats a question that has been asked by many over and over, why does Mike get away with so much time after time? Does he have some kind of " connections " with law enforcement that have them look the other way everytime crap has happened over the years. One really has to wonder about that? Katrina could pull up plenty of data on Mikes long sordid record of assorted incidents with law enforcement. Like Paul P said, we could literally write a book about all the BS Mike has pulled on people over the years. Your whole lengthy bit about Mike just turns a blind eye to any of that, doesn't it Ryan? So no matter how hard you bleat about what an esteemed citizen you think Mike is, for those of us who know better, your definitely wasting your time!
