Great photos Van! Good to see you and the pouches yesterday. Sorry we had to leave so early, but the photographer from the Naturist Society needed to get back to Palm Springs early which I was not aware of when I was planing this event. Hope to see you on December 4th if not before.by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Hi Sam D. I don't think it is a new attitude. I really question if this idiot (not a great way to end a conversation, but I do agree the adjective is well deserved) used to carry out his trash before Deep Creek Volunteers was around. He probably just did a better job of concealing it and now is using DCV as a new excuse not to carry out his trash. I would quite honestly be embarassed and feelby Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I received the following more accurate report from the Forest Service. "October 20 Scott Parker appeared in Federal District Court in Riverside for trial in the 6 Violation Notices (VN) Ranger Bard Burns issued him on May 21, 2004. After consultation with Parker's court appointed defense attorney and the Acting United States Attorney (AUSA) it was decided that the government would drop 2 Vby Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I received a call yesterday from the USFS to give us an update on Scott Parker and request that I share it here. This last Wednesday Scott got his day in court. He went prepared to contest all six citations with an attorney. But after his attorney got to see the photos and documentation the Forest Service had prepared, his attorney seriously recommended that he plead guilty to four of the citaby Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

That proves it! Too much fresh air can be harmful. Wizard, when that happens you should pull out a platic bag, put it to your mouth and nose and breathe in and out steadily till your bearings come back to you. After that, when you return to so called "civilization" go downtown for a good breath of smog and that should hold you till the next time you are exposed to fresh air. I agree with Wizard. I think that buried trash dates back to the 70's. The problem if we try and remove it, more will fall out and further expose the roots. As for covering the roots with earth I will need to take another look on my next visit as I did not pay enough attention.by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
On Saturday September 25 Deep Creek Volunteers will be hosting a Fall clean up day to coincide with our monthly meeting. The good news is that I visited the springs twice this weekend and found very little trash to start with. On top of this, Frank was down there on Saturday so he took care of the little there was. The bad news is that the USFS will not be joining us to clean up on the 25th asby Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

While Vancouver, Canada is a little far from Deep Creek, some of you naturist may feel that it is a case worth supporting by signing this online petition. I have met Judy Williams personally a couple of times at TNS gathering. Our August meeting was a little smaller than usual, possibly in part due to me sending out a late reminder, some people having to work and some others were off enjoying the end of the summer. Anyway our meeting started shortly after 1:30 with Richard, Ralph, one visitor and myself. 1) Membership and Funds Changes: We have one new member since last month that signed up using the electronic formby Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
DCV's members all left a little earlier than usual after our on Saturday meeting. So we were up at the Bowen Ranch around 5:30. While we were heading down the Bowen Road we crossed a SB Sheriff Department cruiser speeding up the road. A short while later we crossed three trucks with USFS rangers also speeding up the road. It looked like they were planning to go down and cite campers at the spby Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Sorry but I don't think any DCV members will be at the AANR convention. DCV is currently affiliated with TNS and not AANR. I am a member of AANR through Naturally California, but will not be attending the convention at Glen Eden. I find that it gets a little too crowded for my liking. Thanks for posting. I could not believe thr Governator's position on this issue. Can you imagine holding all haot springs to the same standards as pools or private jacuzzis. Who would be responsable to chlorinate the pools? And how often so that they still meet the state required levels in spite of the continual flow of water? Thanks Sycamore for your detailed minutes. Richard comments regarding under aged drinking and glass was in regards to weekdays and not weekends, so if anyone can visit during the week please keep an eye out for this. It turns out that a lit candle is also illegal at the springs. Six rangers were down at the springs on Saturday evening to ensure that everyone hit the trail out before dusk. We briefly discussed the candle wax situation and they made it clear that under the current regulations a lit candle would be considered an open fire and that a citation could be issued. As is our monthly custom on the last Saturday of each month, Deep Creek Volunteers will be holding their July meeting this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. close to either the Anniversary or Arizona pools. Sam, thanks for the report, it was great seeing you doing at the springs. I ended up on a surprise visit there myself. I had planned to go hiking in the area with some other folks but I blew a tire coming over the Cajon pass. Fortunately, I was able to reduce speed and pull over before I did any damage to the rim. Matrix, If you are looking for just a few folks you need to visit during the week and you will find a few mellow folks. On weekends you will always find more people. Thanks for the very detailed report. I also had a great time, it is always nice to meet old friends and make new ones at the springs. Two sides to the same story. I wonder how these people find their way to the Bowen Ranch in the first place. Every direction I have ever seen anywhere indicates that at the Bowen Ranch you are expected to pay to access. If they do not want to pay they should use an alternative route.
