Thanks Sycamore for your report and continual efforts to care for the springs and spread the word about appropiate hot springs ettiquete and DCV efforts. You are a great ambassador for our group!by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Hey Mike, As I said in the last sentence that was just "my opinion", and the last time I checked that was still my constitutional right under the first ammendment. I assume you don't have a problem with me doing so! I now that in the past you have been willing to accept our different points of view on other issues! Thanks to the rest of you that saw the humor in this and added a chuby Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

My teenage kids listen to it now and are somewhat surprised by the lyrics. Not many singers today would get away with what was allowed back them. Thanks to Syscamore for the report and all for your continous work spreading the word about DCV and the expected behavior at the springs.by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
LaughingBear, Just FYI, Scott has had several opportunities to join DCV in the past and never expressed an interest to any of our members attending our meetings over the past three months. Between Sycamore and I, we have given him at least three copies of our brochure. While he had his tent set up at the springs it would have been unacceptable for him to join us. How could a DCV member informby Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Mike, just FYI on 5/8 I checked the kiosk and the Forest Service had replaced the signage on it, although as you point out it faces the wrong way. To be quite honest I don't see the Forest Service relocating it any time soon as they would need to get heavier equipment down there to do so and I doubt this is in their budget.by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Nice photo's Wizard. Thanks for sharing!by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Wizard and I had the opportunity to meet NJ Naturist as he got down to the Hotsprings as we were preparing to head out. He planned on hiking out later that evening and returning Sunday morning. Although we did not have a chance to really get to know each other, it was still nice that he came over and introduced himself. Thank you NJ Naturist for doing so and hope you have a good week and a pleby Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Thanks Wizard for a very accurate account of where the matter stands right now. Anyone down there should just document and report his presence and eventually the USFS will go and address this problem. To make matters worse I have seen him take trash from visitors that were already in the process of carrying it out, and offer to take it out for them. Unfortunatelly, another DCV member has reporby Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Please note that our March meeting that was scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed till the first Saturday of April, based on the email replies I received form several members. If anyone would like to contact DCV please use the link at the bottom of this website. Thanks webmaster Rick for allowing us to use this website as one more way to get the word out.by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Wizard, Thanks for reports. That was a very accurate report of the day and sums up all the most relevant points. Pity the duplication. I also enjoyed your company and the munchikins at the springs and of the entire group at your house. Thanks very much for the invitation.by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Thanks Sycamore for taking the minutes and Wizard for posting them.by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Thanks for sharing! See you on Saturday!by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Thanks LaughingBear for posting this reminder, I would like to start our meeting half an hour earlier than usual, at 12:30 instead of 1:00 p.m. as I must hike out at 2:00 to make a previous appointment that day. Here is the proposed agenda for the meeting. While it looks long, I think each item should take less than five minutes. 1) Changes to membership and DCV funds since last meeting.by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
The problem I am having is that the file attched to the email is a jpg file but the download opens it up as a bmp file of a pdf file. I have tried from computers with the same result. I was hopping that you might be more sucessful. Did you get my second email.by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Rick, I will send it again from the deepcreekvolunteers@hotmail.com email address.by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Thanks Wizard for clarifying. Rick, I emailed you the map Gina emailed me. Where you unable to open it?by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
DCV also received an email from Gina at 5:40 yesterday confirming the news. It had the order and map attached. As the order has already been posted I will send Rick the email to see if he can post themap.by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
We have received several messages with consistent information form different forest service agents. The order was on the Forest Supervisors desk for signature and they were expecting him to sign it early this week. Till we receive this confirmation we will need to continue calling and emailing them.by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Thanks Sycamore. I just sent another email to Gina from DCV as well. Hopefully we will get some news soon.by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Thanks everyone for their patience, however I definitly feel that additional emails and letters may help. I am concerned that after the Christmas break, the latest excuse may be the risk of mudslides. Let's let them know the amount of people that are affected.by Ron - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
