So Wiz, just to clarify: you don't go down the steep hill on 3, but park in the flat area up top by the forestry signs? At the bottom of the steep hill is the Bowen Ranch trail with the small parking lot, correct? Wouldn't that be a quicker hike than parking at the top of the hill and hiking down? I see cars parked there sometimes. That would save hiking that last big hill up to the Bowen Ranch by parking there. Also, what's the process on buying an adventure pass? Part of me wants to protest by not getting one. Do you find that rangers patrol that area?
