Eastbay, Night time temps have been in the low 50's so keep that in mind if you plan to stay over in the area on Saturday evening. You picked a great weekend to come since the day time air temps have been great and the " Baby Sun " my little munchkins " Moon " will be around two thrirds full, " Perfecto ". One more point about the dirt road you'll be traveling. When you just pass the split in the road I mentioned you will be just on the otherside of a small hill from the Forestry sign. This last small hill has a 60 foot section in it that is a bit rough but can be easily done if you keep your car to the right hand side with your wheels on higher ground and drive it slow. I think you'll see what I mean once you look at it for a bit. I just didn't want you to see that hill and wonder if you were going the wrong way or something. If this hill does present itself as being to much for your car ( which I doubt ) then you can park in a large flat area just back at the road split area and you can walk the short distance to the trail head from there. I'll try to make it up to see you on Saturday with my wife and kids and dogs. So you may very well see a whole pack of " carbon units " coming down the trail. Well I'm just heading off " again" for another grueling day at the springs, its a dirty job but someone has to do it :-)
