DCV Meeting Minutes

The minutes will be posted in two parts.

PART 1:
The meeting started shortly after one p.m. with Paul, Ron, Arizona Mike, and myself in attendence. About a dozen other hotspring visitors chose to listen in to some or all of the meeting.
Item #1: Membership
Our meeting began with 16 members in our group, and a few from the visiting public joined during the meeting. I didn't get a count of how many joined, and my guess would be three or four, but Ron can give us the number.
Ron opened the meeting by reading aloud a letter received from one of our newest members, Vince, and we all agreed that its contents are worth putting on the web. Ron has the letter and will likely post it soon.

Item#2: Letter to the USFS regarding the trail they attempted to discourage from use.
Ron reads the letter and all present agree that, after proofreading with a couple of minor corrections which were made immediately, we should send the letter as it is. (Ranger Brad arrived just before sundown to tell users it was time to leave, and Ron informed him to expect the letter. (He stated to me later that he will definitely respond to it)
We didn't discuss posting the letter on the forum, but Ron may have planned to do so already, and I think it would be appropriate.
