Item#3: Suggested DCV activities.
a) Grafitti removal. AZ Mike informed us that we can purchase cans of grafitti remover for about $5.00 at Home Depot. We would also need long, narrow-handled wire brushes, lots of water, and a number of volunteers to effectively deal with the amount of grafitti in a day's organized effort. A visitor (and, I think, new member) suggested trying a product called "Whink" to help with the removal on very porous rocks. Paul informed us that he counted 22 rocks with grafitti on them along the trail from Bowen Ranch, all of which have been covered with gray paint in an attempt to cover the grafitti and make them look more like natural rocks. We all agreed that this will be an appropriate activity for our group, and that we should wait for cooler weather to carry it out. We have not as yet set a date.
b) Eliminating rock stacks. We added this item as requested by a non-member on the forum. We all agreed that we should eliminate rock stacks whenever we feel them to present a direct safety danger, such as if they were stacked over peoples' heads above the pools. None of us felt that eliminating them at any other time is an appropriate DCV activity.
c) Another possible use for Whink. It was suggested that Whink might prove to be an effective product to use to clean off the black soot from rocks that results from fires built for camping or cooking by hot springs users (with the footnote that such fires are not allowed by the USFS, and fines for their use can be up to $5,000).
d) Pool cleaning. All agreed that regular cleaning of the pools is an appropriate DCV activity.
e) Activities each meeting day. It was suggested that we decide on one activity as the main focus for our group for each meeting day. All agreed that this would be productive.
f) Holiday potlucks. Another suggestion from the previously mentioned visitor (new member, Ron?) was to have frequent holiday potlucks to promote good spirits and to socialize. Labor Day was suggested as the next holiday, as well as the idea of having an equinox celebration and inviting people to bring drums or other instruments. We did not make any definite decisions on doing either of these, but all agreed that the suggestions are worth considering and discussing further.

Item# 4) Other Issues:
We discussed putting both the website and information about our affiliation with The Naturist Society on our brochure. All agreed.

The time of the meeting's adjournment was not noted.
End of meeting minutes.
