Well, gee, Wizard, what if I hadn't done my search on Yahoo? I didn't, and was led only to Katrina's website. That was why I brought it up.
Correction: The decision-making process we have decided on is not democracy, but consensus-seeking.
DCR- I'm glad that at least you don't want to have the FIRST two-thirds of the brochure be an advertisement of our group's policies. Thank you for giving your thoughts.
I'm looking for what will be effective here. Some people are verbose, but I doubt if the average DCHS visitor will want to read so much. I also feel that the MS and How We Help sections are really targeted to members or potential members. But, there may be some way of pleasing everyone on this. Maybe a shorter section can say a few words about our concern for the springs, but sound less like a rather desperate advertisement.
I recall no response from anyone to the concern I expressed about our brochures potentially becoming a part of the trash problem, or a means to start fires. To combat this potential problem, I plan to be judicious in handing out the flyers and am against having them left in some sort of box at the springs.
As for the discussion of nudity, I have no problem with adding that, and would prefer it over including the MS and How We Help sections; however, I'm not sure that it is being stated correctly. DCHS is on NATIONAL forest lands. Whatever state and local authorities may wish for in terms of their own enforcement powers go, there are no laws AGAINST nudity at the national level. This is why people have "gotten away with" nudity at places like the springs. So, the inclusion of the stated "policies" of all the agencies that exist in the state does not seem to me to be necessary. Including them will not impress people with our incredible store of knowledge.
