Also, for anyone who thinks DCHS is a secret place just go to yahoo and enter " deep Creek hot springs " and click on " web page matches " and you will see that there are many, many sites that discusses these springs. Maps, descriptions, pictures etc. are all there on site after site. The Bowen Ranch is mentioned as the main port of access to DCHS at almost all the sites. You will find the same things at a bookstore in hotsprings and hiking books. Like I said, this place has been known and discussed ever since it was first visited by man. We just have differant, and faster ways of spreading information these days and no amount of complaining or finger pointing will change this situation. What we are seeking to do with the formation of a group is one " real " way to address the coming reality of more visitors to these springs. DCHS is spoken of very highly on the many sites on the web. It is described with many positive adjectives and is certainly worthy of what deeds a group of concerned springers could perform to help protect it.
