Sungirl2, So where in any comment on this DCHS forum archive do you see anyone suggesting that someone showing pedophilic tendencies should not be monitered in a setting like DCHS ( or anywhere else for that matter ). Only a pedophile would not agree with this. Once again your not citing anything we do not know already. I've taken my daughters to Deep Creek and DCHS since they were 2 months old. I am glad that they have had alot of experience there in the clothing optional setting of DCHS. I think they will be better people for it. They don't go much these days having developed other interest as teenagers often do. Just moniter your kids and be watchful of anyone behaving inapropriately like you would do in any setting of a similiar type. Pervs are present in all types of places and its not like its something unique to hotsprings.
So Nature66 it really comes down to what you as a person are comfortable with. DCHS is in USFS lands and its completely legal for children and families to go there. As far as your reference to " appropriate " age, once again that depends on your outlook and leanings. I have seen children of all ages there, clothing optional or textile. Of course its possible any given day you go there that a weirdo may show up ( of whatever type ). Its like any place you visit these days, you just have to judge the landscape and decide what you feel most comfortable doing. There have been a number of times over many years that when there was someone at DCHS I didn't want to be around for this reason or another ( aggressive types, druken fools, overly loud yellers, pervs, etc ) where I just decided to move on up or down the creek to somewhere more private and quiet, or on seldom occasions I might have even left. In most cases people have a wonderful time down there, but of course no one can gauruntee that you won't encounter something you may find untasteful or unsettling.
And lastly Nature66, its not a matter of just an adult male or males being in the vicinity of the children, its about their actions and behavior. I am a long time member of the Naturist Society and we value our outdoor clothing optional experiences with our families ( for those of us who have them ). Its about how you conduct yourself in the presence of others. And its not like women all have halos when it comes to commiting offences of one sort or another. The creepy people ( male or female ) are out there and you just have to be watchful and careful, no matter where you go.
