Pique, " a transient feeling of wounded vanity ". Like I said before, your pulling stuff out of your hat Sungirl2, like a magician :-) Like somehow people who don't share your views and cite just why they don't are experiencing " transient feelings of wounded vanity ". There are just some people in this world that just can't stand that others might dis-aggree with them. Dis-aggreements are part of human nature, the daily news stories comes to mind :-) On and on and on, dis-aggreements! Clearly in these specific issues, some people agree with you, and some agree with me, the percentages of which in the fullest sense we could not really know. Oh, and my second comment here gives reasonable suggestions pertinent to Nature66 expressed concerns. If she still has more questions regarding this I'm sure others here will offer her some advice.
And you seem to think that the view of the " majority " somehow translates into an idea being accurate, right, or reasonable. The majority of the people once thought the earth was flat. The majority of people in certain places thought that persons exhibiting certain traits were witches, and therefore should be killed. At one point in this country black people could not even vote because the majority of voters did not give them the right to do so. Of course I could continue giving examples but the fact is the majority view is time and time again clearly wrong in considerations of actual truth or reasonable interpretations. In the end in my opinion its like that old saying, " its all relative ".
