Sungirl2, simply put, when I go to DCHS by myself, I soak in the hotpools, I am a long time Naturist, I treat people with respect and I behave properly. I soak with people of all imaginable types and ages. I am not thinking to myself, oh my god, there is a woman in the hotpool, a child, a romantic couple and to be a " nice guy " I should move on! That would be patently ridiculous. Just use your common sense people. DCHS has been a clothing optional place since the time of the Indians, and before that I'm sure. If you think someone is behaving dis-respectfully, talk to them ( and get others to back you up if thats possible ). And just being in a hotpool naked with others no matter what age or gender is NOT being dis-respectful or inapropriate. If you think someone has crossed some legal line call lawenforcement.

So what is it you really want Mellowguy and Sungirl2, DCHS to become a place where single people are shunned? Maybe you and Mellowguy would wish for a " seperate " hotpool to be built ( USFS won't let you do this anyway ), a long ways off from the main ones so single women, children and romantic couples can soak in complete privacy. Everyone does what they can to deal with ill mannered people at DCHS and thats reasonable to expect of decent folks, but I predict that if you guys go overboard with these things you are speaking of that you will end up pissing off greatly other decent people, and perhaps even create such a fricas that DCHS might become closed to clothing optional use because of increased complaints. If that happened, how many people do you think would be cheering your efforts. Be careful with what you do, because you just might get way more than you wished for. And this in no way means decent folks should stop doing what they " reasonably " can to address problems at DCHS.

As far as talking about things here, knock yourself out! I have been commenting here at this forum since it began ( and this one is not the first incarnation of it ). So for example, we have talked here about people taking out their trash for many years. Did the problem get better? A resounding NO! More people equals more trash period. More people equals more problems period. And to answer one of your other questions, DCHS has definitely seen more problems and more inapropriate behavior as the years have passed. But on the other hand, loads of folks still have a great time on their visits too!

As far as my daughters are concerned, they have never had anyone at DCHS do anything to them, though they have seen on many occasions people doing stupid ass stuff down there. Like I said before, you just have to be watchful as a parent, and if any situation ( like being at DCHS ) gets to uncomfortable, then not going would be your most sensible option because as long as it remains a freely accessed outdoor destination without gates or gaurds ( Mike Castro doesn't count in this regard ) to moniter when everybody's sneezes, then there will be problems occuring of one sort or another from time to time.

If kids are not OK with nudity, do not bring them to DCHS
