Your probly right Paul. The reporters are still giving thanks for all of our many blessings. I just talked to a guy who saw them in the contemplation pool. He said it was the girls first time. But the guy had been there before. He said they looked to be in their late 30's to early fourties. And they were on a 1st date? I have been to the springs today. While there I heard a story about a dead person flouting in the womb pool. The campers I talked with said " a rescue helicoper came in the middle of the night and pulled him out and put blankets over him. First thing in the morning they came back. I just got home from a 3 day camping trip at the D.C.H.S. Campground. Persons at the campground were heading to the burning man art festival. Yesterday I got to the springs at 1:30 pm. It must have been Mexican appreciation day. There were at least 30 Mexican men there. Only 2 Mexican women and the boom box had the same songs I have heard for decades playing. There is a 4'x 8' raft with ropes to pull your self across. But, I suspect that will be pulled back out and saved for next year soon. About 1/3 of visitors were crossing the old fashioned way. Oh, I forgot to mention the western diamond back rattler I saw when I was going up hill to relieve my self. He was @ 3 feet long and going up hill also. I did not see him until he was about 3 feet from me. Of course I jumped back imediatly. He was struggling to climb the hill and was nonthreatening. I arrived at the new campground at 1 pm. It was another weather perfect day. The wind was gently blowing into my face the whole way down hill. And there were powder puff clouds blocking the hot sun occasionally. There were only about 20 persons around the spring area. And @ 12-15 through hikers around the beach area. Paul, I do not argue with my tax man he has been doing taxes for more than 50 years. Neo, I weren't afraid to swim under there either. Usually cat fish were there or other interesting stuff. Once I found a diamon ring with 3 diamonds in it. It will be interestinv to see how big the large boulder is that is sitting on the up stream wall. That is spelt tax a 4 letter word, of couse. In this state if your income is less than 50k and you are over 60 you are exempt from paying income taxes. Or so my taxes guy tells me every year. However, Code enforcement fined me 14 hundred for maintaining an unsafe building on my property. It was so because they refused to give me a permit to refurbish it during the covid crisis. I got to the new camp ground at 10:30 talked to the nice people who work there for @1 hour. The weather was so delightful I had to hike to my favorite hot spring. The air temp was in the 60s and the sunshine felt refreshing. When I got to the springs a raft was roped across the creek. What a nice surprise because the creek temp was still in the 40s. To answer your question Paulespo. Yes there is a control damn about 11 miles upstream from the springs. This damn allows people who live on the Lake Arrowhead shore to not worrie about flooding, much. There is a web site some where that will tell you about water levels on the lake. It was 10:30 when I pulled into the D.C.H.S. My thermometer said it was 62 degrees and there was a 10 mph breeze. Which made it feel kinda chilly. There were 9 vehicles in the Bowen ranch parking area. There were 12 vehicles in the new and improved Deep creek hot springs campground. There was many campers hanging around have breakfast. I agree with Sam D. It is illegall to change or alter nature. So what you are asking is for someone to admit to a federal crime. Not a good move. Have you been to Miracle or Remmington hot springs lately? The feds destroyed one of those pools for that reason. Also they were out of control. I hope DCHS does not have the same happen as there. It was another weather perfect day so I was had to revisit my favorite hot spring. As for road conditions I do agree with George. The owner of the D.C.H.SPRINGS CAMPGROUND. He said " the road conditions are almost as good as they have ever been too." They are dry.There are a few more ruts in the road than there were before. Paul. I have not gone there in about 3 weeks. so no I do not know about road conditions. I suggest you try the Bradford ridge path. VERY busy here. I have noticed many inaccurate things on All Trails about d.c.h.s. For one it says it is 3.6 miles out and back using the Bowen ranch trail.. NO!, It is 2.2 miles one way. That adds up to 4.4 miles.. That is good sdvice Paul P. I was there last tuesday 1-3-23. The water level was above my belly button then. The temperture was 42 degress. Doutless it has gone far above that. Thanks for straighten me out wizard. I am only human. Also, I forgot to mention that the Arizona pool has been fixed. It has been leaking out from its bottom for @ 3 months. But is now flowing over with clean, clear hot water again. It was very nice soaking there again. Many people tell me that it is their favorite pool. It was another weather perfect day. Makes me wish I were at my favorite hot spring. So, I got to the new campground at 11 am. Explored their new trash dumpster. I was at the springs the previous Friday. I was up set at my self because, there were 2 large bags of trash when I got there and I filled another 40 gallon bag to almost full. It was 12:30 When I got to the D.C.Campground. Talked with owners @ 40 to 50 minutes. It was my first sign of fall so I had to take this chance to go to my favorite hot spring. Only a slight breeze and maybe 80 degrees. With no clouds in the sky. Saw no one on the trail. When I got to the springs only about 12 persons were there. Like I always advise people going to the springs : ya never know what to expect. On the day I was there it was epic. The tight rope walkers were real pros who had a love of what they were doing. They walked from building to building on cables with no saftey nets. Like a fun hobby.This went on for 4 hours.They were helping others learn their craft. In the sprit of freedom. No april fooling yesterday was a good day for visiting the springs. The weather was perfect, and so were the vibes. I got to the springs at 9 am. Only about 10 persons were there, later no more than 30 persons at any one time. Everyone were polite and respectful to each other, kind of like one big hot spring family. I am happy to announce the weirdo that was freaking out hot springers was not there yesterday 2-4-22 a Friday. I picked up the large mess he left. After putting all his camping gear at the "pack out what you pack in sign." I picked up more than 50 pounds of his trash. Left about 30 pounds by the sign and hiked out over 20 pounds. Thanks for your help Chandra spring. The crazy guy at the springs was perhaps in his late 30's or early 40's. Old enough to know better. Sounds like he needs an attitude adjustment. If I caught someone like you described a psychologist or a big ugly jail mate could do the job. Or perhaps both together.
