Oh, I forgot to mention the western diamond back rattler I saw when I was going up hill to relieve my self. He was @ 3 feet long and going up hill also. I did not see him until he was about 3 feet from me. Of course I jumped back imediatly. He was struggling to climb the hill and was nonthreatening. So I gave bim his space and he seemed to know I was NOT going to harm him either. So, the lesson here is to be awear of your surroundings when going to relieve your self. Or you could get into some serious trouble. The other snake i saw was about 2 weeks earlier. He was a baby gopher snake about 2 feet long. It's that time of year again. Be careful!
