O.K....I'll bite on that one!! As a young woman I went a few times to clothing optional places, but not to deep creek. I liked being nude, but felt that I was the center of too much unwanted attention, so I quit going. After I moved to this area, I learned from word of mouth about this clothing optional place called Deep Creek Hot Springs. I heard good things about it...that many good people went there and that it had been a sacred place to the Native Americans. I wanted to go, but was leery of going alone for my first time, so I put it off. I tried to arrange to go with people I knew when they were going, but it never seemed to work out.
Ten years slipped by, and I am no longer young and not as concerned about unwanted attention. Then I found out that my dear friend goes to the springs regularly. I went once with another friend, and after that started visiting regularly with my best friend. Now we've gone and fallen in love, can you imagine?
Once I had been to the springs just one time, I found that the things I had heard from my friends and acquaintences were true. Oh, DCHS gets its share of wierdos and perverts I am sure, but the community of regulars who visit the site help to keep it clean in more ways than just carrying out trash. I could see right away that I wouldn't have had to worry about the kinds of attention that turned me away from nudism many years ago, and I feel that would be true even for younger, more "attractive" women as well.
Deep Creek means to me a place to finally be able to enjoy nature in the freedom of nudity.

DCHS is a sacred place. Native Americans knew that, and I have learned much about wisdom from Native Americans. To me, it is personally sacred because of the bond between the site, my partner, and myself. My partner has stood by my side while I faced my deepest fears and took control finally of my life. But that is another story.
DCHS is home. The people who respect her and love her are my family. The sycamore trees seem to greet me on my visits. The rocks stand as witness to miracles.
I am surprised that anyone can visit here and fail to understand respect. Frequent visitors will most often learn it or leave.
When we take off our clothing, we take off all those status symbols as well and become equals.
