Wizard, it sounds like a good thing you contacted Ranger Burns. This may be easy for me to say since I'm not the one with the family, but I just don't see how the authorities could arrest you in the springs area just for being naked around your kids. That would be absurd, unless you were doing something illegal. It sounds to me like the reason they had a problem with you being naked is that you were on a road in what probably seemed the middle of nowhere to them. Those roads seem less like part of the hot springs environment, so being naked out there might have seemed suspicious to them. I'm sure if you just wore some shorts on the hike out, or at least once you're in the vicinity of the roads, you would have peace of mind. Those officers know that near the springs everyone's naked. Besides, if they tried to arrest anyone down there just for being naked, they wouldn't get very far before all the drug addicts and thieves who regularly visit the place started hucking mud at them!
