David is the former childhood neighbor of Rona Channing. Because he has no brothers or sisters to relate too that far back. He thinks of her as a sister.
He is also Lillians Channing's God father. Even though he feels God does not exist.
His mother Died a couple of years ago and left him a substantial amount of money. To make matters worse he is lazy.
He becomes a bit eliteist while discussing things. With an english accent. When I first met him (back in the 80's) he spoke or understood 3 or 4 languages.
He also fought against THE castro take over of the Bowen ranch.
He has no pride or competative spirit. That is why I enjoy his company. And he enjoys my take on God's word. Some times he has a spark of genius in him that is amazing.
Another victim of the system. Another fallen down stupid alcoholic. Another GOOD reason to leave drugs to the sick people.
Does that help put him into perspective ?
