He wont get life for this but our society does frown upon getting drunk and shooting your friends in the gut.

If Limo Dave can prove there was a threat to his life or limb, he will probably walk.

Years ago, someone up there by the name of Don pulled a knife on me after issuing threats and he wound up on the losing end of the blade. After recieving medical assistance at the hospital, the Sheriff's dept took him to jail. It was a clear case of self defense. The prior threats were documented. I was not arrested. That guy came looking for trouble and he found it

Limo Dave's case is different. We will see how it plays out. He does not seem like a gunslinger and probably felt threatened in some way. If he can prove it, the charges will be greatly reduced or dropped.
