Arizona Mike has been posting on the forum and pretending to be me. I have to log in with a password to post in order to protect this from occurring. However, Arizona Mike has somehow been able to post under my name abusing the forum by pretending to be me and through idiotic multiple postings apparently just to monopolize the forum.by katrina island - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
AZ Mike, it is important for everyone to find out about the laws relating nudity at and around the hot springs. The trail from the Bowen Ranch crosses a public road: 3n59A. Are people that pay a toll to Mike Castro exempt from arrest for violation of state anti-nuidity laws (you know, the laws that you feel Wizard violated)?by katrina island - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Paul: no date on the flyer. However, I personally went up to the the Big Bear Ranger Station two years ago and picked up these flyers.by katrina island - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I heard that the proposed Forest Service plan for the San Bernardino National Forest has been released. Even members of the Sierra Club are upset about the new plan's restrictions. Anyway, I would suggest that you request a copy for your review. There would be a comment period before the plan becomes finalized. U. S. Forest Service 1824 S. I have spoken to some people with the California Wild Heritage Campaign about Deep Creek and the designation of "wild and scenic" River. They have told me that "wild and scenic" allows recreation and certainly hiking. Within the designation of "wild and scenic" are the features that need protection. Such as Deep Creek is designated as a "wild and scenic"by katrina island - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Now that we have the penal code for these alleged crimes, we would need to further research the case law. Interpretations made by the court as to what these laws actually mean. I believe that just being naked is not considered "lewd". In addition, clothing optional has been customary for over 30 years. However, there is a danger here. Counties have the power to pass ordinances concernby katrina island - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Your experience has all kinds of implications, obviously. Sycamore Laughing, I have always thought your theory was true, however, never did a study. Our society makes the body and sex seem shameful to remain hidden. Which leads to perverted thoughts. We have to research the Federal laws, regulations, State Law and local ordinances. Yesterday, July 12, 2002, I spoke to Christina Lewis, a legislative analyst at Barbara Boxer's Office in Washington, D. C. Her number (202) 224-3553. She looked up Deep Creek and recognized that there was no recreational designation for Deep Creek. She said the Wild and Scenic Rivers allows recreational activities which includes hiking, no taking your mountain bike across through the stream, horseby katrina island - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I have been pondering on this name, it just wasn't quite perfect as of yet (in my mind). I had these mental blocks when we were incorporating, so we kept it simple. Anyway, I thought of Deep Creek Caretakers. I also found the acronym idea very interesting. Caretakers definition: "One that gives physical and emotional care and support." I think the outhouse discussion was excellent.by katrina island - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I heard about this fire from a friend who lives near Lake Arrowhead. While on the phone, I could hear the helicopters swooping in to get water from the lake. I have video footage of this from the Willow Fire, the helicopters look like mosquitos. The fire personnel were right on top of this one.by katrina island - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

You have to type in under the search the word "wilderness" and look for the Bill, California Wild Heritage Act or something like that. This is what it states about Deep Creek: `( ) DEEP CREEK, CALIFORNIA- The 6.5 mile segment from 0.125 mile downstream of the Rainbow Dam site in Sec. 33, T2N R2W to 0.25 mile upstream of the Road 3N34 crossing, as a wild river. I just found out that Deep Creek is included in a bill before the U. S. Senate which would designate Deep Creek as a "wild and scenic" River. We need to find out how this will or may affect our continued use of the hotsprings. I have been advised that unless the hotsprings is designated as recreational that our continued use of the area may be under threat. I have always 100% posted as Katrina. Arizona Mike you give yourself more negative importance than is realistic. There is no slander on the website. All information on the website is documented and the witnesses are ready willing and able to testify under oath in court. People need to know the truth about what Mike Castro has been doing. Mike Castro has been conducting the violence, Katrina has only been shining a light on it and warning others.by katrina island - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
News Article today with map of proposed wilderness areas in the San Bernardino National Forest. Hard to tell, however, there is an area that maybe close to Deep Creek. We need to check with the Forest Service to find out for sure where the proposed boundary lines are located: http://www.pe.com/localnews/stories/PE_NEWS_nawild03.a1263.htmlby katrina island - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I have heard that there will be a heavy law enforcement presence starting Tuesday evening which will include checkpoints on some of the main streets through Hesperia and Victorville. So make sure you have your paperwork in order.by katrina island - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
What we do have in common is a great love for Deep Creek and concern about its future. We realize that the human impact on the area in the way of trash left is of concern. On that note: I hope the one upmanship of "who does the most" for the springs will result in a contest that will leave DCHS spotless! I agree. If people abuse the no camping rule, it could jeopardize our access rights. We need to encourage people to camp elsewhere.by katrina island - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
The dragon flies are so beautiful. Their bright and iridescent (Wizard I had to do spell check on that one) colors of copper and turquoise are so miraculous. I remember sitting in the creek during this time of year and watching them fly low over the creek. Sometimes I got lucky and they would land close by so I could look at them closer. Nature is so amazing.by katrina island - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
The 15 freeway is open. The 138 is closed from the 15 to Sheep Creek Road. The fire is still burning. I just drove down the pass today. It is a very sad blackened sight.by katrina island - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Actually, I heard that the sheriff and the ranger were there because Mike Castro had called them regarding a person who was camping there. (I wonder if he didn't pay Mike?) The person was told that he could not camp down there and was given a period of time to leave. Anyway, that is what I heard.by katrina island - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
