Prior to the building of the cement bridge at the T6 crossing everyone fording Deep Creek got a nice undercarriage washing of their 4wd vehicle, oil, grease, gasoline, anti-freeze, dead animals...etc. My son-in-law sank his Jeep CJ up to the steering wheel there several years back. The Forrestry Service had the bridge constructed to prevent pollution. Whether this had any effect on the Arroyo frog is anyone's guess, but it sure helped keep the Creek clean. No more oil slicks on those naturist butts! Anyone notice the Native American acorn grinding holes in the rocks surrounding the parking area?
