Jobe, Regarding the T-6 crossing, I just got off the phone with the USFS ( phone, 909-337-2444 ) and they said ( confirming what I told you ) that it is the bridge where 3N34 crosses Deep Creek. They did not say it is where Hook Creek Rd crosses Deep Creek. The only thing I can figure is you think that the route from Cedar Glen, down Hook Creek Rd all the way to Deep Creek is called Hook Creek Rd. On my map after the pavement ends on Hook Creek Rd, the dirt Rd continueing on from there is labeled 2N26, and this designation I would imagine ends where it connects at the Y in the road which is where 3N34 crosses it coming from the Squints Ranch area down southerly across Hook Creek then Deep Creek and on easterly towards the Crab Flat area. Clearly though the T-6 crossing is a bridge over Deep Creek. Mr Waynes comment above supports this too. Also the USFS personel told me that nudity is not allowed within a quarter mile circumference of the T-6 crossing. They also said that nudity is allowed in the San Bernardino forest area with discretion, like for example not near campgrounds and other inhabited areas where this practice could cause problems. The USFS person said that the only specific rule she knew of limiting nudity in the San Bernardino forest was the specific rule about the T-6 crossing.
In your post above of 8-16, 8:26PM you stated this, " Like I said, Hook Creek still is not Deep Creek ", and now in your most recent post ( 8-17, 7:42AM ) you state this, " Deep creek IS Hook creek ". Do you see a contradiction there Jobe? I don't know what point you are trying to make regarding these two seperate creeks. Hook Creek is a side creek that intersects Deep Creek. Look at any map. Jobe buddy you do offer up alot of interesting tidbits and stories about the many things you have experienced, and places you have gone, including your significant experience related to the Deep Creek area. I'm just pointing out what I see to be some discrepencies in what you have posted in this thread.
Regarding Devils hole, I am familiar with it since I used to go fishing there with my Pa some 40 years ago. We used to go all over the San Bernardino Forest in my dads toyota landcruiser. Some of the roads out there were mighty wicked back then :-) I'll have to check out the Space Rock with ya sometime Jobe. Do we get to see Aliens too?
