Jobe...every holiday weekend people fire up the gas altar and sacrafice a cow to the gods of bar-b-que.

This holiday was homage to the god of thankfulness and gobble

Even vegetarians sacrafice alfalfa sprouts and consume them in a spiritual quest for a healthy life.

Due to persistant drought conditions, water sources are VERY limited for cattle on the Juniper Flats cattle allotment. The USFS / Deep Creek canyon is Arroyo Toad habitat and the cattle really muck things up along the creek. Due to holes in the fence from illegal motorcycle use, releasing the cattle this year looks like a non option.

It's already late November and once again- no rain so far.
