I've been hanging around up in the Sierras lately where the clothing optional thing is prevalant. A suggestion is to not let the non textile crowd ruin your soak. Carry something to wear with you just in case. It's not worth a confrontation. Sooner or later, the textiles will leave the pool. Then you are free to do whatever. First come, first soak. I really dont want to wear anything when soaking but also I dont want to offend any uptight and hung up Americans. One always has the option to hike up the canyon a mile or so and enjoy the warm beach next to the cool waters, and then return in the evening when the crowd thins out. I haven't been to Deep Creek Hot Springs in over two years beecause of the crowds.
We recently stayed at Benton Hot Springs and rented a campsite for a week. Very nice! It was very quiet and clothing optional at your tub site. The Green Church complex is not far away and I took a good soak in the crab cooker and wild willeys as well.
