Trip report - what's the point?

Took advantage of some free time to drive up to the start of the Bradford ridge trail. Started about 2:40. One car present and I met the nice young couple hiking down while they were traveling in the opposite direction. The air was pleasant at a temperature of 65 degrees, a slight wind and only partial cloud cover.

Now the real report. At this point I no longer ask myself if I will be in the minority as a free hiker, I now ask - will I be the only non-textile? And the answer was yes. A tough young couple - unpleasant tatoos on both of them - with a couple children and two less than gentile dogs. (I suspected one was partial pitbull). Of course the dogs were free to roam. There were others - nearly all pools were filled with textiles. At least they were quiet. The tough father kept looking at me as if I were a child molester (he should be more concerned about good friends and and relatives). I quietly swam in the creek to wash off and cool down. After 10-15 minutes of this, I swam back to my pack, put it on, and left.

In the past, I never felt down right uncomfortable - but this experience left an unpleasant taste in my mouth. Virtually every visit last year was delightful - good sun, pleasant soakers. This year has been more crowds, and virtually all textiles. And on every trip I meet someone on the Bradford ridge trail.

The walk back was nice and I discovered that a week of hard bicycling at high altitudes pays off. At no time did I need to stop and catch my breath climbing out. (Hey, I take this a major victory given that the first time I took nearly 2 hours and wondered if my life insurance was paid up.)

My only suggestion is for fellow naturists to announce their intent to visit a day or so before they leave so that we can be assured that multiple naturists can visit simultaneously.

Cheers
