Sounds like Police Cheif Kenneth Rulon has done more for Colton in one year than BLM Ranger Barry Nelson has done in all of his years for Juniper Flats. I wonder if there's any chance a swap could be made?by Arizona Mike - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Sam, Sorry to hear that you came across that so candle wax. Seems like that will be a continuing problem down there. These people that visit during evening hours are the one's obviously doing the candle burning. The place sometimes turns into a party place at night. Usually the locals doing the partying. As far as dogs in the pools, they shouldn't be in them. Many of us have complained to thoby Arizona Mike - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Two lines of crap folks: Mike Castro: "Sitting on a cot in his spare wood-frame home about a mile from Cottonwood Springs, the lanky, long-haired man who charges people $4 a person to cross his land, said environmentalists "don't understand that there are others with a different opinion who are taxpayers and happen to be motorcycle riders." >>> Fine, go ride in Johnson Vaby Arizona Mike - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Speaking of Saline Valley Warm Springs, I heard a rumor that the NPS has or will be closing the air strip better known as the "Chicken Strip". Any true to that?by Arizona Mike - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
My comment: Rules apply to all of us, even Mr. Castro. Rick Writes: Oh? Well that explains why I saw him riding down the closed route to the creek so many times. >>> My comment wasn't meant to explain anything.by Arizona Mike - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

I didn't word that well. My point was that it seems to me that he and other dirt bikers in the area feel they can ride route J1299. It may yet be considered an open route by the BLM and he has indicated that to me, though the MAZ 1 &2 map shows it differently. I hope after the decision of the WEMO Plan has been made and if it turns out that the route is closed, they (all dirt bikers) willby Arizona Mike - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Good suggestion Mojavegreen, but unfortunately Mr. Castro will not partake in any meeting with anyone. That is what he's indicated to me while speaking to him in the 3 or 4 weeks in person. I thinks he's simply frustrated over the fact there's a group being formed that do not see what he and other OHV enthusiats want, that being having to freely ride through the ACEC by way of J1299. Katrina Writes: I have documented substantial evidence of criminal wrongdoing for several years now and am getting ready to respond to the BLM's latest letter concerning Moss Mill Road. With regard to Moss would then sign a verified complaint about the crime and I believe the district attorney's office would still have the decision about bringing charges. >>> I do not agree with making oby Arizona Mike - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

The two Caliente Hot Springs sound wonderful Sam! But I don't think Frank, Sycamore nor I will be visiting either of the Caliente Hot Springs any time in the near or distance future for the following reasons: The road gets really bad. We need an Adventure Pass. The Price of the Adventure will increase. Stuck Vehicles. A ranger that who can't to close the gate when it rains. Thank you Sycamore, but just a slight correction. You say: "Az. Mike has gotten feedback from visitors that the rules should be posted at the springs." Correction: Not at the springs. Comment: Probably best to post regulations somewhere near or at Bowen Ranch and definitely at the kiosk in the lower USFS parking lot. What we hot springers need to do, is write the USFS higher-ups to persuade them to open the hot springs now, not 3 and half months from now. This closure thing doesn't make any sense to me. My beef is that the area of the forest near the hot springs was not affected by the recent fires, and so why should they (USFS) close the hot springs? Their counter point was that they do not want anyone enby Arizona Mike - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
