Or maybe something more personal, like this one made by someone in their neighborhood: Who litters? Ignorant, lazy, immature cowards. Who doesn’t? Intelligent, strong, courageous leaders. Interesting statistic. Last fall, they had over 1000 volunteers work to remove trash from Yosemite. In total they removed 20,000 lbs in 5 days.by mohave - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
This sign has nothing to do with Deep Creek ... came across it during a hike near San Diego. However something similar near the springs dedicated to the volunteers who keep the area clean may make people think twice after trashing the place. Or maybe not. Heck I would volunteer to pay for it if it made a difference.by mohave - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Torrey Pines State Reserve ... just a few miles down, is a great place to hike as well (photo below). Next weekend they are hosting an arts festival. They do enforce a "no food" policy and that includes juices so you are only allowed to bring water, preferably in a reusable container which they sometimes sell near the trails and offer refills. One advantage of this policy is that thereby mohave - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

We made it as far as ... Irvine. Unfortunately no. Friends invited us over to sit by the pool and for dinner. I would have rather been at the beach though in my nothing box. Maybe next time. On a side note, whenever we do visit Black's, we stay at the Hilton Garden Inn on Ocean Bluff. Cannot say enough good things about that hotel. It's funny how the media misreports news events and one of the reasons I don't watch the news any more*. One article I read said the "body washed ashore". From your description Paul and clearly from the photo in the link below, that would have to be some strong tide! http://fox5sandiego.com/2013/04/18/body-found-at-blacks-beach/#axzz2R9G1Nk23 * Although one of my favorite news broby mohave - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

It may get worse starting this weekend and into next week as grades 1-12 are off (think high school crowd). I only know because my lady friend is a public school teacher. QuotePaul P. A while back I was at Big Caliente Hot Springs in the hills behind Santa Barbara. Little did I know deer hunting season just opened. As I was walking the short distance to the creekside pools upstream, I heard gunshots very nearby. Turns out a hunter was shooting at me from afar and thought I was a deer! That's the closest I've been to being killed. He apologized, but I was pissed ofby mohave - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I felt the same last year after a similar event, less the gun. However, if you don't go back, they essentially win. Also, the next time there could be a great group of folks and it would be a shame to miss out.by mohave - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
One of the most addicting things about camping is falling asleep under the stars. I used to live in CO for two years and we experienced some of the most spectacular night skies in the mountains away from city and town lights. Kind of makes you think how tiny and insignificant this planet is. On another note, I recall going to see a presentation by Carl Sagan in the 90s where he shared some prettyby mohave - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Dude I am in your age bracket and have to say I have yet to meet a woman who was not open to at least experiment with naturism even if they never have. I will probably get tarred and feathered for saying this but once they hit late 20s and into the 30s some primal sense of adventure is unleashed. I'm not complaining. BC, I have to agree with Paul's statement about Black's. I actually visited it for the first time last year after he posted positive comments. I brought my lady friend back there over the labor day weekend and we had an awesome time, probably one of the most memorable el natural experiences … like he said, very diverse crowd and if you want more privacy, you can walk away from everyone furtherby mohave - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
BC not sure if you are a woman or man but it's important to qualify Paul's statement about a few other soakers. So here's the truth and it's important to finally make it public. If you are a man, this is the closest dreamy representation to what you will likely encounter, and yes, it will likely be one of you and four of them and yes, that wink will be for you and nobody else. That places you about 1.5 hours away from one of my favorite places, Secret Cove for el natural relaxation ... and my second favorite, the Flume Trail for mountain biking ... and my third, Heavenly for skiing. I personally find the annual fees for skiing in CA ridiculous though. When I lived in Boulder, CO back in 2004, as a resident of the state you could buy an annual ski package for $390. On the Italian side of my family, I recall helping my uncle make wine as a kid and he used them as a filter and as a tie to fasten the vines to wooden planks. Very useful. I also recall MacGuyver using them in one episode along with an oil can, an exhaust pipe and an old battery to build a bomb. The panty hose served as the fuse dipped in the old oil and inserted into the pipe. I think the idea wby mohave - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

What some folks don't realize is that there is something more dangerous than hypothermia, cold shock. Hypothermia will take some time to set in and usually can get up in the hours before it becomes terminal. Cold shock usually only takes a few minutes. Looks like you are facing a 34/64F spread with clear skies. Enjoy.
