We made it as far as ... Irvine. Unfortunately no. Friends invited us over to sit by the pool and for dinner. I would have rather been at the beach though in my nothing box. Maybe next time.
On a side note, whenever we do visit Black's, we stay at the Hilton Garden Inn on Ocean Bluff. Cannot say enough good things about that hotel. I virtually live at hotels due to work and that one is a few steps above. I call it the Four Seasons at a fraction of the cost due to their service levels. On weekends if there is no major event they have AAA rates in the mid $80's which is an incredible value for that area. Also, the locals stop by there for food and drinks as the quality is excellent. Met some great local people while there.
Thought I'd mention that for anyone wanting to visit Black's not native to the area as that hotel is rated in the top 10 in San Diego yet is 3-4 times cheaper than surrounding top-tier properties.
