Re: Bowen Ranch/DCHS Visitors

The closure is being honored by many, however there are always a few who dont. Deep Creek Volunteers are leading the way to change that old stereotype of a bunch of "naked drug crazes hippies". Working to promote positive change through example, this group has established credibility with the USFS and BLM on local issues. Some local residents have been ignoring the closure as well including an infamous hotspringer who never sets foot on the Bowen Ranch. Accessing the hotsprings during the closure is not limited to the exclusive clients of the Bowen Ranch. All I can do is honor the closure and ecourage others to do the same. It seems like the USFS is aware of the situation. Ive made my choice, Im respecting the closure.
