No one in the right mind would propose putting a motorcycle trail through a cultural area designated as an Area of Critical Environmental Concern. It would never survive a public forum.

So they didn't propose it. They tacked it on to the final amendment to the WEMO plan after all the public meetings had taken place. It contained no language that would identify the proposed route with the cultural area.

It was supposed to be a slam dunk. There is still a risk that it will be unless they hear from the public before September 12.
