The trail from HWY 173 is called the Bradford Ridge Trail, not Bradley Ridge. The Moss Mill access route had official BLM signs many years ago designating it as an open and legal public route down to the USFS parking area. The route was even graded in spots such that it was easily traversed with a two wheel drive vehicle all the way to the USFS kiosk sign. I and my wife were confronted a couple of times by Mike on that route. I called the BLM about it and they said yes it was an open BLM route. The public can have " free access " to Deep Creek Hot Springs anytime they want. The Bowen Ranch is just an 80 acre private property where the owner charges for parking and camping. Folks can use the BLM and USFS lands and there are many legal open routes. I've seen online at times where some people mistakenly think that Mike owns DCHS and the property it is on, USFS lands in reality, and that the Bowen Ranch is the only way to get to these springs legally. I do advise people who are unfamiliar with the area to use the Bowen Ranch for parking and access, as it is the safest option for vehicles and the trail is well traveled and in good condition.
