Finally I was reading something about the rising tides so that would be likely what you talk about above and to be careful not to get stuck in one of the caves when this happens.
Right, I forgot that the kayak company launches you just below the dam. Then its a real short distance to Goldstrike Canyon on your right side. You can't miss it- you'll see hot water coming out of the rocks just before you get to the canyon. Its easy to beach a kayak there. Its only then a super short easy hike up the canyon to the lower pools as shown in my last photo.
Regarding the Sauna Cave, its pretty high up the side of the cliff, and I doubt it would ever get flooded by the river.
