Thanks for those insights. I am hopeful that this is the turning point, Paul. Keeping my fingers crossed and my ear to the ground, listening for news from Allen Baylis and NAC, etc.
I had just recently emailed off my annual letter of protest to the DPR. Then the scandal broke. I'm most happy to read in the NAC summary about the departure of Tony Perez.
And yes, for those reading the forum who may be curious or not know, you can still visit San Onofre and spend the day at the beach nude, but you do kind of have to trespass just over the line of the old beach onto part of Camp Pendleton to do so. There is always the chance you could be told to vacate that part of the beach (adjacent to the old nude beach). It has never happened to me, but it did happen a few times last summer. What has been lost, and what we have been fighting for, is the old nude beach and the sense of community it fostered, on the State Park side of the divide between San O and Pendleton. It was a beautiful place to be, just 1000 yards to so, and we need to get it back.
