Rivernude,
The particular sheriff you were talking to my have a preference against nudity at D.C.H.S. But their policy seems to be to live and let live unless a complaint is filed by a citizen willing to go to court over the alleged offence. I have been at the springs when they (sheriff's) were there and this was what I was told by them. As for the federal regulations on that there are none for that area. We can give thanks to a Arizona lawyer who fought for free speech rights which he won in a court action back in the 80's. Which struck down a federal anti nudity regulation. You may want to surf the web sites of some of the nudist organizations and read the history parts, very interesting reading. You can find them by clicking on the Deep Creek Volunteers site below.
As for cement it will cure under water as long as the current is not great enough to wash it away before it cures. However publicly working on the springs is illegal. They call this "altering a federal structure." Which is an arrestable offence. I was told this by a federal official. I will and have exercised my right to remain silent about that.
I used to have a similar accent like yours. That was how I got the nickname, Tallahassee Joe. It gets tiring after awhile as you can not say 2 words with out some one asking "where are you from". And I have assimilated more. So I can tell by your comments on crap you are more country than most here. We met before at the springs when I was with a girl friend, I think you paid more attention to her than to me so you may not remember. You said it was your first time there, several months ago.
Ditto @ meeting you !
Wizard,
That is an excellent idea @ the "no dumping" signs. One I too thought about, but since Mojave Green is no longer with us I do not know whom to contact about putting up signs on his property? We will have to work this out and do something soon.
Thanks for your help.
