I WAS gonna say that the best deterrent to tagging is to have people around, but it depends on the people. About 10 years ago I was at the pool you mention downstream, and all but me and my gal were gang types, loud, beer-drinking. I'll bet they tagged the place as soon as we left. It may be possible to do something if the taggers are stupid enough to make a roll call on the wall, in that case, taking a photo of the graffiti to Hesperia/Victorville police might help. The gang squad will know the tag names if the gang is local. If tagging on BLM/NFS land is illegal, this can be brought against the taggers next time they're apprehended for some other crime. If it's not, well, look out for guys with spraycans! At least it's not a turf war, there's no drug sales to be made at DCHS -- I HOPE!!!
