The Blue and White could look a little better mixed with crimson red. Seriously... where is an errant bolt of lightning or some other natural disaster when you need one?
Earlier in my life my job involved using a high power rifle on human targets at ranges far, near and very near, but my main occupation was to rain my adversaries with explosive airbursts of steel fragments (artillery). It was often very effective, but never satisfying, especially decades after the action when the horror returns in my dreams.
The desecration of our precious canyon enrages me, even to the point of desiring punishment wreaked on the perpetrators, but retaliation rarely results in beneficial results as our prez-i-dent's ill fated campaign in Iraq clearly shows. "Mission Accomplished" became mission unfulfilled and interminable. So it would be at Deep Creek. A violent solution would likely result as aggrieved taggers (and off-road biker outlaws) escalate the tagging and violence into a high desert range war. There has to be a campaign on our part to convince the BLM and USFS, hopefully under a more moderate and law respecting regime, to enforce the regulations with vigilence and stringent prosecution and make protection of the public and private environments, once again, an unalienable right.
If we truly want change and protection we must work with elected and appointed officials and agencies and demand a return to a lawful environment.
