I was so sad to read this thread. When Saline Valley became part of Death Valley National Park when the California Protection Act was signed, there were fears that the NPS ruin historical uses of Saline Valley Hot Springs. It appears that those fears were well grounded... I will ceratinly write a letter today. I encourage all to do the same. There is no way I would want the Bowen Ranch road and its offshoots imporved. Katrina I would propose the exact opposite. The road should be rough and the hike long. I have seen California explode with people. The visitors more numerous at the springs. This trend will continue. I my explorations of Hot Springs throughout the US, the easy access hot springs become trashed, destroyed, then closed.by Blue Corn - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Wizard: I think the meeting is a good idea, but the implemtation must be of good intent and tactful. If I may make a sugestion. Castro should not be the focus of the meeting. First of all because if it was the focus I have no doubt he would show up anyway. But the second reason is because Castro is the the real issue here. He is just a player in the game. These conflicts are not because of Castrby Blue Corn - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
AZ Mike, Mojavegreen: For whatever its worth I absolutly agree. The Moss Mill Road should not be the focus of our efforts. The vast amount of damage that is being down out there overwelms the Moss Mill issue. There is also a very important seconday reason that should not be our focus: it has the potential to cause divisions within our group and ruin any chance we have a cohesivness. It would alby Blue Corn - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
mojavegreen: Thanks for the information and clairification. Then what we need to do is to go up the chain of command and report Ranger Nelsons actions, or inactions. I have no doubt that a well worded complaint co-signed by several people will get attention. I am just jumping into this conversation so I dont have much background in this particular complaint. We need to contact those people who quby Blue Corn - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Wizard: Just for clairification: The BLM and the National Forest Service are funded by the federal budget. The states financial situation has nothing to do with the level of funding these agencies recieve, however, Bush has not been good for the BLM and National Forests budget. It is most interesting to note that its seems as if Law Enforcement in public lands is not something the republican admby Blue Corn - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
One more thought: Katrina perhaps you can put your legal knowledge in this situation. The BLM must be breaking laws by failing to protect these areas and denying that a problem exists. Anyone who actually goes out there will realise what a lie that is. What can we do Katrina?by Blue Corn - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
This desctruction of our lands must stop. So what can we do? Perhaps we should be getting together and writing our congressperson to get funding for full time ATV patrols. I have no doubt that there are few patrol resources available to the BLM and FS in comparison to the vast land they have to protect. This must stop! God damnit! I too have seen first hand the destruction of this area by ATV uby Blue Corn - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

S.L: You are most welcome! Look I gotta be honest. I feel as though I have a mind for picking up on subtle arguments and the motivations behind them. After all, I spend many of my days oberserving people. And as a Federal Government Employee I understand litigation and regulations. What you wrote was clear and in my experience correct. Wizard: This sounds like as much as a threat, if not more so, than anything I have read here. Come on man. Breath deeply. Do you really wish to sink into this pit of mud slingling and threats? Frankly I think we need to all look at our deeper motivations for what post here and what we say. Its not just about CPS being called is it? And how threatening S.L. is. Sycamorelaughing: You reporting of your research was one of the better things I have read on this forum. I would like to thank you for the time and clairity you have put into it. It was factual and level headed. But I know what happens. You expose people shadows, their secrets they wish to keep hidden and it causes a knee jerk reaction. Wizard: You would never believe it, but I know Mike and he pays me. Its all part of his grand vision. He goes out and pays people to post intelligent and re-freshingly clear posts on this forum. He also puts in a good deal of money in the back pockets of the local police departments so he can keep on murdering, raping, slashing tires. My point is who cares if Mojavegreen knows Mike Castro. Katrina Wrote: "Please share with all of us anything that Katrina has done that is not peaceful or not lawful." I have an example. You seem far from peaceful. In my direct experience the world of jaded dreamers hiding their true desires in law talk is not a peaceful one. Its a tormented and twisted frame of mind. Not Lawful. Well the war in Iraq is lawful. Katrina, I got to mention the coverup theory in particular. Claiming that there is a 'coverup' by local law enforcement officials in reguards to a murder case is an extreme argument to make. Now Gail, my question is for what result would several, if not many, law enforcement officials risk their entire careers and even extensive personal criminal charges so that they can coverup a murder case?by Blue Corn - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Katrina, Just a question.... Do you have a life besides cutting and pasting old messages from this forum and quoting old legal documents? I am just wondering. So are we supposed to gather that you are the defender of the public good in the Deep Creek area and that is your sole purpose. Further, that you have no other intentions, (such as taking over the Bowen Ranch for yourself). Honey, I amby Blue Corn - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Its been a while since I have posted, but now I am registered and official. Its been a while since I have read posts on this forum and I was so saddened and shocked at the new lows this forum has sunk since I last read what was going on.
