Great trip report! Its funny how many Asian Tourist you meet at the springs. Then again I have meet people from all over the world at the springs. I'll never forget the old Asian Grandma with grand son I met hiking down to the springs. They where about half way down. They had stopped to take a break. As I passed I said hello! Then I made a coment to the old lady, "You very strong lady!&quby Rudedog - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
November 14 sounds good. Set a date so I can lineup some volunteers! Post a new thread.by Rudedog - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
The right way to clean the pools is to organise some volunteers for a cleanup day. The rocks in and around the pools need to be cleand of algee and candel wax. This takes some stiff brushes and elbow grease. Decaying debris and sand on the bottom of the pools can be vacumed out with the use of a swimming pool hose and gravity. Large debris such as leafs and twigs need to be removed with a rake oby Rudedog - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I was there last Saturday. No problems except for the guys with NewCastle beer in glass bottles! Thease guys had no respect for anybody but themselves. It was a nice quite day, the stream was cool for this time of year and the weather that day was mild! I've been going to the Springs for about fifteen years, park by the trail, and have never had any problems! The people at Bowen ranch know myby Rudedog - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

DesertCAT, The road around Bowen Ranch is easy but also easy to get off track. I got lost once at night myself and have found people walking lost during the day, looking for there parked car. So although I have been there many a time I can not give you great directions since there are no markers and very few land marks for a safe drive. But just for your information there are two ways to get to tby Rudedog - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

I was at the springs last weekend. Not to many people, but the weather was good the first day. I went back Monday. The weather was a lot cooler cause of the wind. Every thing was fine till a group came down to the pools carrying beer in glass bottles! I tried to be nice and told them that glass is not very cool at the springs and is also against the law. That went over well! I had some words withby Rudedog - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
So far the springs have been nice to spend the day, despite the heat! Way better than staying home with no AC! Get there early and leave after 3 or 4 o'clock. There are on average maybe a dozen hardy folks. Its nice and quiet! Last Sunday some people rode down on horses from a local ranch. I forget the name but they only charge $75.00 for the day. Sounds like fun if you dont like to hike. I talby Rudedog - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Romy Luna, I like to drive in from Bowen Ranch Road. Your 4x4 should have no problem going around Bowen Ranch and parking at the Forest service trail head parking lot. Last week a stock Jeep Liberty made it with no problems. It's best to hike in the morning to avoid the heat and stay till things cool off later in the day. Be prepaired with plenty of water, and sun screen. Last saturday it waby Rudedog - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Danger, Danger every where! People die every day. Don't speed, eat healthy, don't smoke, ware a condom, stay a way from holes in the ground! It's a sad fact that acciedents happen all the time. I am a offroader and have seen a few deaths out in the desert. People going to fast, and drinking to much. Falling down hiking and not bring enough water! You cant put a fence around everthing, live in aby Rudedog - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I think this is my first post. Sunday morning was bright and sunny at my home in the East San Gabriel Valley. Looked like a great day for a trip to the springs. The weather turned to overcast as I got to the pass. Hesperia was overcast and cold. Road conditions where good. I drove down to the springs trail head and the sun was shining. The breez was cold but the sun felt good. The hiking trail dby Rudedog - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
