The right way to clean the pools is to organise some volunteers for a cleanup day.
The rocks in and around the pools need to be cleand of algee and candel wax. This takes some stiff brushes and elbow grease. Decaying debris and sand on the bottom of the pools can be vacumed out with the use of a swimming pool hose and gravity. Large debris such as leafs and twigs need to be removed with a rake or by hand to keep the hose from clogging.
I havent seen this done in a quite sometime but when done right you should be able to see the bottom of the deepest pool.
Clorine will only run out to the stream. Contaminating the water.
