I for one truly love the area and became a member of the DCV to help educate people. This annonymous person may resent my involvement but our land is very close to the springs. I have seen a lot of people come out to the area and behave in inappropriate ways like building fires on windy days/nights, driving drunk on Bowen Ranch road and leaving their broken beer bottles laying around. The peopby LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Thankyou Katrina for the load of fertilizer. The garden has plenty now.by LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I respect Wizards opinion here. I do recall this post began with an appeal for peace. Mrs Bear and I planted 14 trees for peace today and we are sending these vibes to all on this webspace. We hope you all find enough peace in your hearts to let go and begin to heal this wound. "Cant we all just get along?"by LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
As a local private property owner I am concerned about the fires that get lit by deepcreekers. If the fire danger gets really bad,it is wise to protect the forest by educating the public and increasing patrols to insure against illegal campfires. At our last DCV meeting attended by the USFS,they stated they have budgeted for regular nightly patrols this spring and summer. Im sure that they willby LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Thankyou for this information Katrina. The OHV enthusiasts can resolve this proplem they have created by using the designated off road areas that have been created for their use. There is one on the other side of Victorville off of I 15.by LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Our good friend Ron handles the E mail box. Sometimes we get busy with our work and lives outside of DeepCreek. Ron is great about answering but sometimes it takes a couple of days. Peace and happy hotpottin to ya Garyby LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Hi everyone....the rain really came down and watered the peace garden well. "Cant we all just get along?" Rodney King.by LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Wow.... all I was talkin about was enjoying the flowers and planting trees. A peaceful place is how it looks from space.........a closer look reveals the human race. Im following my hippy heart and sending out vibes of peace and tolerance to everyone tonite. Good night and sweet colorful dreams to all.by LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Saddam will be happy to know that Mike and Katrina are co existing peacefuly side by side in my garden. When we left them yesterday, everything was just peachy! We hope they grow and bear fruit someday. Peaceby LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Hi everyone....we are planting trees of peace today. One for Katrina, one for Mike Castro, and one for the rest of this troubled planet. Maybe....with a little love and a lot of care, they will bear fruit.by LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
HI to all. This is Mrs. Bear (also known as Earthdrumming). Since LaughingBear and I use the same computer it seems this site will not let me create my own sign on. Katrina: I have never meet a person I have felt more sorry for, in relation to the village (I think this could apply to William, too.) In life, we either come from a place of hate or a place of love. You come from such a hatefby LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Thanks for the report Mike. The creature with the yellow stripe is one of the many local residents that live in the area. Its disposition is peaceful and harmless to humans. I have noticed lots of traffic on the road in lately indicating large crowds at the springs. Its too bad that people are leaving their garbage behind.by LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Well.... it has been peaceful in the Village lately. Lots of wildflowers! There are carpets colors everywhere folks. I hope everyone can make it up to enjoy this special time of year. Peace to allby LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Thankyou Katrina for your input on this very important issue. The FLMPA requires that resource values be protected. The law states that the BLM "Fully disclose to the public the purpose, the full range of issues and considerations (including environmental) and details of the proposed actions and a reasonable range of alternatives" The close proximity to a large population area, lack ofby LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Thankyou blue corn and a peaceful vibe to all on the forum tonight. The wildflower show is in full bloom right now. Enjoy!by LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Mr Sunday is entitled to their opinion and I respect that. And,there are lots of access routes into the area via existing roads. What the local residents in the area are opposed to is off road vehicle abuse. I have met many many OHV enthusiasts in the area who have no problem playing by the rules and staying on the roads, however...there are many with a "screw'em" attitude who dont.by LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
And what...if any, was their response?by LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Another good idea is to keep a record of all vandalism, taking note of date, time, place and any other significant info. People are creatures of habit and sooner or later, that is usualy their undoing. I for one will continue to be observant when in the area. If the vandal happens to be reading this forum, they should know that there may be eyes upon them...watching in the silence of the desert. The weather is beautiful and the hills are still green with wildflowers splashing color everywhere. Its a great time to soak. Hope to see you there Gary.by LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
No segregation exists at the hotsprings. It is common courtesy to keep sexual activity away from the hotsprings though. There is a saying "nude is not lewd". There are plenty of cool water pools along the length of deepcreek that offer privacy along with soft sandy beaches for those who seek solitude. After our most recent visit to Deep Creek on spring cleanup day, Mrs Bear and I took the long way home with air in all of our tires. We arrived at "the Tin Palace" just before sundown. After dinner,we decided to go to town for ICECREAM. Yummmmm. As we started down the driveway,we realized our tire was flat. Bummer.......no icecream! When I took it in....it was discovered that I had aby LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Katrina, once again you contradict yourself. Go back and review the first post under"murder of Ronnie Bates" where you quote directly from the Widow. Ronnie's destination was clearly stated. I appreciate Gary's insight on this whole matter. Wise words. Unless some new concrete evidence comes to light, perhaps we should let Ronnie Bates rest in peace and allow his wife to heal as Kevinby LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
After reviewing the map of proposed open routes in the Juniper Flats area, it appears obvious that the BLM used satalite images to develop this plan. It is full of flaws. Sensitive areas that were mulched after the Willow Fire are to be opened for destruction by the OHV crowd. Multiple and redundant routes of access are approved in other areas creating a maze of OHV trails. I believe the currenby LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
The fuse is lit and the timer is ticking on the explosive OHV plan the BLM has cooked up for Juniper Flats. So much for the protection of the land and helping it heal after the Willow Fire. There is a public hearing on this issue at the Green Tree Inn/Victorville on April 23. The plan is available online http//www.ca.blm.gov/cdd/wemo ohvdesigproj.htmlby LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Well Rick...I have to dissagree with you on this one. If the Widow Bates had reported Ronnie's known destination in her missing person's report,he most likely would have been found sooner. The car most certainly would have been found by the search and rescue team. The omission is highly suspicious. It also appears to be intentional. Perhaps if Rick and Katrina are interested in locating the oby LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Well folks....she's back, flying in on her broomstick to continue the witch hunt. Lets examine this case a little closer. "Circumstantial Evidence" has been presented here in the Deep Creek Kangaroo Court by our legal eagle Katrina on behalf of the longsuffering Widow Bates. We are still wondering why Mrs Bates did not begin her search at the Bowen Ranch or the Hotsprings. It seems tby LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Howdy Matt, great to hear from you way down under. I hear that there are some fantastic hotsprings down there in New Zealand. How about Australia? Checking out new hotsprings is always a great excuse to travel and meet some cool people. Hopefuly we will see you around this summer.by LaughingBear - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
