I I don't think you addressed my questions ...by DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I find it very hard to believe that Cal-OSHA would allow a hazard on the public roads like this. In fact, how would the driver be able to transport the shipment? Would he wear a lead suit? Another question is how is the original materiel transported to where it is used right now? Are we to believe we are exposed to that too? I believe the material would have to be transported in a way that wby DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
OK, one last PS from me! I totalled up the mileage from I-15 and came up with 21.1 miles. It's 9.7 miles on Bear Valley Rd, 3.0 miles on Central Rd, 2.3 miles on Ocotillo Way and 6.1 miles on Bowen Ranch Rd ... all according to the Yahoo! maps. It's 15.0 miles just to reach the beginning of Bowen Ranch Rd!by DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
PS It's a pretty long drive on BV Road ... according to Yahoo! it should be 9.7 miles ... but you know how accurate that can prove to be!by DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
No, you will go past Deep Creek Road and turn right on Central Road (a restaurant called The Waffle Iron in an old gas station will be on the far left corner) . Go over the railroad tracks and take a left on Ocotillo Way. Then take a right on Bowen Ranch Road. You should recognize the rest. Let us know how your trip goes ... hope to see you there ... and happy soakin!by DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I think the last time we made a trip to DC was probably in August ... I've really missed going there but other things just seem to get in our way these days. The cooler fall weather makes me long for a soak. We were quite excited to see the forest was finally reopened and we decided now was our chance ... We had a good start in the morning and we arrived at the trail before 10:30 ... pretty eaby DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Can we stop with the Republican bashing, please? Why not wait and see what happens? Don't forget that all members of congress must work together or nothing will be accomplished. Here's a question for you to ponder: If the liberals want to raise taxes so they can give away free money (welfare, etc) to the poor, under-privileged people of America ... then why don't they want to help the poor, oby DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I located the article (but haven't had time to read it): Local News - San Bernardino San Bernardino forest to close FIRE DANGER: Some areas, such as Big Bear Lake, will remain open for recreational use. 10/04/2002 By GEORGE WATSON THE PRESS-ENTERPRISE Most of the San Bernardino National Forest will close at noon today because forestry officials believe severe fire and drought conditions areby DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Wiz, I would encourage you to be just as watchful with anyone who interacts with your children ... whether or not they have rumors circulating about them or if they are a man or a woman. You can never be too careful. So in my opinion, you don't need to be any more careful ... just as cautious as ever. I can tell you're a fantastic father by the way your kids love you!by DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I disagree ... quite a few people I have talked with do not approve and consider the practice graffitti. Just something to keep in mind.by DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Kary, I think you have me confused with someone else as I never commented on your situation stated here at all.by DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
"Rock stacking" could definitely be percieved as a form of grafitti. It clutters the view in a non-natural way. Just something to think about.by DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Thank you for your reply, Naked Man. I prefer to take a wait and see stance on these issues ... now, can we talk about other positive Deep Creek related issues?by DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Naked Man, please don't speak out of turn for others. Thank you.by DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Hi Ron, thank you for sending the flier as an attachment. I have not printed the flier (and that could be the source of my confusion) but I'm not quite sure what order you are trying to present the topics. I understand that the welcome page is intended first. Wouldn't how to contact the group be the last page? The way it is currently layed out, this page is the second page to be seen. Ron, thank you for your response. The reason I did not post my e-mail address is because when you click on my underlined name (DCR) it tells you what my address is. And yes, I have read all the posts, but sometimes I do not reply if it does not seem necessary.by DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I thought we had discussed this earlier ... making sure we meet the person behind the identity before honoring the person's vote on matters. I already know Wiz, Az Mike, Ron, Jobe, Sycamore Laughing and Paul. When do I become "paperless"? In this current vote it didn't matter since I already agree and everyone else has, too. But it bothers me quite a bit that my opinion has been disby DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Well, I have to say I have a real problem with this procedure. It doesn't seem fair to the people that find it difficulit for thier trips to Deep Creek to coincide with a meeting. I know we don't have as much time as we'd like to visit the hot springs ... in the past we were there "religiously" every week but now we don't have as much time. I also agree ... but why are only the 6 who were able to attend the ones to make the decision? Who decided to run this issue in this manner? Could you e-mail a copy to me, please?by DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Ron, my pick is Deep Creek Hot Springs Alliance. Wizard, glad to see you are still willing to opt in for the group. I'm still a little undecided but I may come and go ... but that's pretty much what everyone will do because of our different schedules. I can't attend this weekend but look forward to the "minutes" if someone can summarize what happens. Happy soakin'!by DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Kary, I am sorry to hear about you Grandmother. I have lost all my Grandparents as well as my Mother so you have my sympathy. It is never easy but you will find a way to make it through the pain. Appreciate the family and friends you have and just take it one day at a time ... it gets easier to bear as time goes by. Via con Diosby DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Linda makes no sense and I don't give her post any credence. I also know Wizard and he has proven his reliability to me. I don't think I need to say anything more.by DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I think what you have named is actually a cove. You mean the water under the shower?by DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Sycamore Laughing, I don't understand what you mean by, "Wizard, and now DCR, seem to think I am wrong for reserving judgement in the same way with their "enemy" AZ Mike. I disagree for the same reasons given above." I don't think I've ever said I disagree with you. I have already stated that I also reserve judgement about all the DCHS - Bowen ranch disputes. And AZ Mike isby DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
AZ, Let me repeat what question was being clarified: "why do you mention bringing a dog, when no dog is mentioned"? Still, not too creative, as far as lies go, in my book.by DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Sycamore Laughing, his question was "why do you mention bringing a dog , when no dog is mentioned"? The answer: AZ is going to Kansas with Dorothy (his wife -- obviously a vague reference to how Wiz refers to his wife) and taking the dog (obviously Toto) ... it all refers to that story, The Wizard of Oz. Not too creative, as far a lies go, in my book.by DCR - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
