Seriously.....the USFS regulates activity at DCHS and sets the rules that everyone is expected to abide by. Would I classify hog tying a crazy guy with a knife an act of herosim? Sounds like things were way out of control down there and its this kind of thing that causes agencies to close hot springs to the public for good. Motorcycles.....crazy dudes with knives......vendors living at the springs selling whatever they can to survive.....multiple rescues of incapacitated and lost hikers. All of this threatens the ability of public access at Deep Creek Hot Springs. If it continues, dont be suprised if the USFS decides to handle the problems by closing the canyon to human entry or limiting access to a permit system.
